We are now accepting designs for 2008. Note that we are really concentrating on quality art from this point forward, so we will not be able to accept everything as we have in the past.
We went live with a new site on January 23, 2008 where you can upload art and create your own store in a highly automated way. Please visit the site at VirtuousPlanet.com and view one of the Christian stores. We would be happy to have you join. Please feel free to email us or call and we can fill you in on the details and answer questions. Note that we are also giving away $5,000. That is $500 to the first ten shopkeepers who sell 500 shirts.

Send us your ideas by email. If we create a design from an idea you send us without art, we'll send you one FREE t-shirt! You get one free shirt per design made. If you would like commission, you must send us high-quality art.

Selling Your Designs at catholicshirts.net

If you have finished artwork and would like us to sell your designs on catholicshirts.net, you must adhere to the guidelines set below.

What You Earn

You earn a commission based on each product you sell on our site (less returns and shipping costs). The current commission rate is 15 percent. You may receive 5 to 15 percent on bulk sales and sales at various shows but never less than 5 percent.

NOTE: In rare instances, you may receive a reduced commission or no commission for images that are substantially changed or need to be reworked greatly by us in order sell at catholicshirts.net. The reduction in commission depends on how much we have to redo the artwork and how much of your original artwork remains. At the very least, you would receive a free t-shirt.

The reduction in commission only applies if we have to make the changes. If you are capable of making the changes yourself, then you would normally receive full commission.

Buying Your Own Products

You get a 30 percent discount on all products with your own design that you order, but you receive no commission. These products are not returnable.

Submitting Your Designs for Shirts

Please email us a LINK to a webpage that contains small versions of your images so we can quickly view them (png of jpg--must be 250x250 pixels--under 8 KB). You may also send us attachments.
Make sure whatever text that you have on the design is readable at 250x250. Also, make sure all text in your images is anti-aliased, and try to fix things that look choppy.
By submitting images to us for consideration, you are affirming that you OWN the copyright of the images contained therein and are not in any sort of copyright violation.
We will review your images within a few days and email you concerning images we would like to consider further for sale on our site. You must send us email attachments (or a CD by request) of the full-size versions of these images. These should be at least 15 inches wide or high and 300 dpi. After a few days, we will notify you of the final status of each image.
You retain the copyright of all images you submit to us, whether rejected or accepted.
We are working on a hard copy catalog. Therefore, as of 6/1/2008, once your design is on our site, it will not be able to be removed. This is so we can offer a consistent product line throughout our catalogs.

Submitting Your Designs for Buttons

Commission for buttons is 8%. The button template is below. You must have the ability to use Photoshop. The inner circle will not be printed, but that is where you want the entire design to be on the face of the button. The outer circle is the part of your design that will wrap around the button. Do not flatten the layers. The image on the site will be 200x200 pixels.

Getting Sales

To improve sales, you may want to create a website where you can showcase, promote, and advertise your own designs in Christian search engines and other places. Finally, don't forget to tell your friends, family, and church family about your designs!
